Christine Kent

Womens Soccer
Year: 2017

Anyone who has had the opportunity to meet Christine Kent can easily understand how this honor has been bestowed upon her. Her servant's heart, selflessness, and drive to improve both her and support others are contagious.

Despite being listed as an outside back this season, she played a significant role in the Bryan College Women's Soccer Team's success this season because of her versatility to perform at multiple positions. Her high work rate, tenacious defending, and notable experience helped the Lady Lions compete into postseason play. The seasoned senior aided Bryan in reaching the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament Championship Game, while the experience provided was crucial to a team consisting of young players who have never been to the conference tournament.

"It is difficult for me to state how valuable Christine was for our program this year," said Head Women's Soccer Coach, Paul Babba. "Whether it was fitness, community service, the classroom, or a practice, Christine was always in the front of the pack and leading by example. Her ability to relate to people from all walks of life meant that she played a big part in developing our culture and creating an environment where respect and teamwork were highlighted. Christine's love for the Lord and desire to impact those around her is something that was invaluable to us as a coaching staff."
